Democratic Party Donald Trump Draining The Swamp Media Storm Chaser Network

Kucinich Outs The Swamp Creature

Written by Jon Saltzman

In case you missed it, Dennis Kucinich of Ohio, who served as a Democratic Representative in the House between 1997 and 2013, said some very interesting things in an interview with Sean Hannity the other night. What he said is that the “Deep State” has decided to destroy Trump’s Presidency and is the source of the unprecedented leaking that has turned the news cycle into chaos. Furthermore, he went on to say that this is a danger to the country and The Obama Administration actually was targeted on one occasion.

Here his remarks and it’s worth a look:

So what is the Deep State? Well it’s the lifer employees and the Independent Contractors of the Federal Government. Some people believe that the “Deep State” is a shadow government that virtually controls everything in Washington. If you add Lobbyists, career congressmen and women, who have been there forever, you have…The Swamp.

I wrote two articles about it this year, one on February 7 and another on March 8. In those pieces, I discussed how un- precedented and downright weird the early resistance was to Trump’s Presidency and I asked if we were witnessing a Leftist Coup.

It turns out I was wrong or a little too partisan. What we are witnessing is the Deep State trying to wrest control of our government in an attempted coup. We are so complacent as Americans that we can’t even see it for what it is.

We very nearly saw the bad guys win this week as Washington melted down with one story after another quoting a multitude of “un-named sources” from within the government. The media is a willing accomplice in this effort as they refuse to research the truth before they rush things on air or into print. They are a feeding frenzy. They are guilty of enabling The Swamp.

We are witnessing what I feared. Trump was elected on a promise to “drain the swamp.” But what if it doesn’t want to be drained? It’s pushing back right now.

Americans need to wake up and see this for what it is or we will lose our country. When your government thinks the people work for them, we are in danger of losing our freedom. Our republic was a crazy experiment that our very enlightened founders came up with. No one has ever seen anything like that experiment in human history. But we need to understand right now that we could lose it in the blink of an eye. We nearly lost it this week I believe.

So we should be deeply grateful to Dennis Kucinich, no friend of Republicans or Trump, but a real patriot for saying what needed to be said by reminding Democrats too, that next time it could be them. The Swamp knows no party. It exists for itself.

Here is the best thing Kucinich said in the interview with Hannity:

“Our first allegiance is to our country. This isn’t about one president, this is about the political process of the United States of America being under attack by intelligence agencies and individuals in those agencies, yes, as you said there might be good people in there, but there are certain individuals who are lifers who want to be able to direct the policy of the country. And if the president stands in their way whether it’s a Democrat or Republican they’ll just try to run that person out.”

Amen.

  • Pretty spot on, Jon. I’d say that a number of parts of the deep state are too uncomfortable with Trump not being cozy with them. Unlike political class lifers, he hasn’t been groomed and potty-trained for years. Hence the numerous instances of resistance even during his campaign.

As for Trump’s swamp draining, he has kicked some lifers out, but he invited in some serious swamp heavy-weights such as from Goldman Sachs and ExxonMobil. Some swamp creature groups must be thrilled, but others feel neglected and stomped upon.

Americans definitely need to wake up, more than already have.

“When your government thinks the people work for them, we are in danger of losing our freedom.” Very true but decades late. We, the people, have already lost it, long ago. Most of us just were to trusting and deluded to notice until now, and as you just indicated, many still are. We need to get busy wresting back our freedom and agency now.

“The Swamp knows no party. It exists for itself.” I think, we – the people – need to do the same. Enough with self-hurting party allegiance. The leaderships of our two major parties and the army of lobbyists to which they are married are also part of this deep state. It’s not so much these parties which could be next, but any other politicians who don’t toe the party line, and some already have been next. Think of the rigging of the primaries against Sanders, or the limiting to token roles of progressives like Kucinich, a few of them kept around by the “Democratic” Party to pretend it represents the people.

““Our first allegiance is to our country. This isn’t about one president, this is about the political process of the United States of America being under attack by intelligence agencies and individuals in those agencies…”” Ditto. Only, we mustn’t forget the business sector part of the swamp where much of the corruption originates. It is far too often overlooked, so far.

  • I’m glad you’re coming around Jon, but I am very suspicious about going down a Deep State rabbit hole. The Deep State stuff is discussed mostly by Alex Jones and Paul Joseph Watson types, so I can’t in good faith subscribe to those ideas.
